Independent Studio Works – Love in Memory of Star & How to Count

This project features two short animations I created during a year of independent studio practice.

Love in Memory of Star – An animated opening sequence commissioned for the Hong Kong stage play Love in the Starlight. The animation combines poetic transitions and celestial imagery to introduce the play’s central themes of love, memory, and longing.

How to Count – A collaborative educational animation project commissioned by Tencent Education. Although the animation was in progress, the project was discontinued before completion due to funding withdrawal under new government policy changes. As a result, voiceover and final post-production remain incomplete.

Tools used include TVPaint, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
